Elm and Cedar joined forces and conducted an experiment. They were given the brief ‘what material will keep a cup of water warmest for longest?’ The children had to come up with their own method, equipment list and results table. They worked incredibly hard and all children showed exemplary behaviour.
In term 2 we took part in lots of different experiments about the properties of different everyday materials. We worked on making tests fair and how to evaluate what we have done and learnt about the materials.
We conducted a fair test to see which material bounced the highest.
We performed a simple investigation to see what would happen when we heated some everyday materials. We talked about safety rules of the experiment and how to keep it a fair test.
We are looking at different materials and what we use them for.
