On Friday 13th May 2016 the school celebrated Pentecost Day with activities associated with this day. The class went up to St Mary's Church and went around three stations explaining Pentecost to the children. In the afternoon they split up into houses to try out different activities. In Willow class we looked at the Whit Sunday traditional celebration of cheese rolling. The children had to see how far they could roll a cheese down a ramp and then create their own cheese rolling ramp and try it out. Willow class also used Comic Life on the i pads to recreate the story of Pentecost. Below are some of the pictures from the day.
