Elm class have been developing their collaborative problem solving skills. Here, they are working on a problem that they need to apply their knowledge of 2d shape, using the clues in order to find the shape that is missing from a collection.
We learnt about ratio and proportion by making fruit salads. We comapred the fruit part for part and then part to whole. Once we had worked this out, we were rewarded by eating the fruit!
To convert measures we estimated the length, mass and capacity of objects around the classroom, measured them and then converted these measurements. How long do you think the main school corridor is in mm?
