Fox Class

Welcome to Fox Class!

We are all in Year 6 and just love being in a small class of just nine children! Our class teachers are Mrs Menawy and Mrs Hopkins on a Monday-Wednesday and Mrs Taylor-Hicks on a Thursday and Friday.

This term, we are learning about the Viking and Anglo-Saxon struggle for the British throne and learning about the lasting impact that this had on Britain. We are writing our own Viking myths in English and it has been fun coming up with exciting adventures for the Viking gods to go on.We have also been designing our own Viking website in computing.

Our class reading book is 'Boy at the Back of the Class' by Onjali Q. Raúf and although it about a child who has fled fro Syria, it is really helping us to understand what life must be like for children fleeing from Afghanistan and helping us to develop empathy for those in such a situation.

Our science topic for this term is 'Evolution and Inheritance' and although it can be quite tricky sometimes, it really is quite fascinating.

Every Thursday afternoon, we take part in swimming lessons at Radnor House. It's so much fun!
