In PSHE we played a game called: exclusion. We were split into three random teams: the privileged, the dominated and the excluded. The excluded group had to stand facing the wall and were not allowed to talk or turn around. The privileged group were allowed to sit on chairs and eat marshmallows, and the dominated group had to do whatever the privileged group told them to.
It was a really powerful way of exploring how some people are treated in different societies, and how it must feel for them. It made us think about how lucky we are, and how we need to think carefully about how we treat people, as we are all equal and all deserve to be respected, no matter what our differences are.
