Christian Life

Sundridge and Brasted has a strong Christian ethos and this is important to us. All children participate in a daily act of collective worship, when we come together as a school family. The worship is based on the church calendar, customs of the Church of England and bible teachings. Sometimes the vicar of either St Mary's, Sundridge or St Martin's, Brasted will lead us in an act of worship. (Parents may request that their child be withdrawn from the daily act of worship, in consultation with the headteacher.) We have strong links with both our local village churches. We hold services for all the major Christian festivals: Harvest, Christmas, Epiphany, Mothering Sunday, Easter and Pentecost, as well as annual services for Remembrance Day and our Year Six leavers.

To help the children understand certain aspects of the Christian Faith we also hold occasional Extra-Curricular Days, such as Pentecost Day and Lord's Prayer Day.
